July22, 2024 – At 2:22 AM the Mill Creek Fire Company and mutual aid fire companies were dispatched to a residential fire in the 4600 block of Muggleton Road, Limestone Acres.   Firefighters from Mill Creek arrived on the scene within minutes and found heavy fire shooting out of the roof of the structures.     Approximately 35 firefighters battled the blaze by advancing headlines into the structure and attacking the fire from the 2^nd floor area.  

One person was in the home and was awakened by neighbors reporting the house was on fire.   No injuries were reported.   Mill Creek was assisted by Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder, Christiana, Cranston Heights, Five Points, Elsmere, Hockessin and Minquas Fire Companies.   New Castle County Paramedics also responded to the scene.
 

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.   Units cleared the scene at 4:25 AM.
