On October 23, 2014 at 6:55 AM Mill Creek, Cranston Heights, Belvedere and Minquas Fire Companies were alerted to a fire with a person trapped at 2400 Milltown Road, Heritage Court Apartments in the Milltown area.   Firefighters arrived quickly to find an extinguished fire in an apartment on the second floor.   After being alerted of the fire, a neighbor extinguished the flames with a fire extinguisher.   One person was taken to the hospital for observation.   Firefighters remained on the scene to clear the building of smoke and to assist any families with returning to their units.   The Delaware State Fire Marhal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
