01/05/13 - At 9:07 PM Mill Creek Fire Company and Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder (Newark) were dispatched to a crash in the 200 Block of Upper Pike Creek Road just off of New Linden Hill Road.   A Paramedic first arrived on the scene within minutes and reported a vehicle overturned down an embankment with a single subject trapped.  Firefighters from Mill Creek Fire Company and Newark arrived on the scene and started extrication of the victim.  The vehicle had overturned and was resting on its side approximately 50' from the road surface.   The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injures.   New Castle County Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

This is the second crash on the same stretch of Upper Pike Creek Road in the past week where a vehicle went off the road and down the embankment.
