January 9, 2024 - Mill Creek Fire Company responded to numerous request for emergency services throughout the evening as the storm dumped inches of rain with high winds. During the height of the storm, Mill Creek responded to over twenty (20) calls for wires down, poles and wires down on vehicles and house fires. During this time, numerous calls were received for emergency medical services. Over 30 firefighters/EMT's and six emergency vehicles responded to all areas of our fire district. We also received assistance from Cranston Heights, Minquas, Elsmere, Hockessin Fire Companies and the New Caslte County Paramedics.
No injuries were reported with the responses and crews remained available throughout the night.
