March 6, 2023 – Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched at 12:21 PM to a residential structure fire in the 2700 block of Bardell Drive, Sherwood Park just off of McKennan’s Church Road.   The New Castle County 9-1-1 Center was receiving multiple calls reporting smoke and fire coming from a home.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to smoke billowing from the structure with fire in the rear of the house.   Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and brought scene under control within twenty minutes.

Mill Creek Fire Company was assisted by Cranston Heights, Hockessin, Elsmere, Five Points, Minquas and Christiana Fire Companies. Emergency medical services were provided by the New Castle County Paramedic and Mill Creek Fire Company.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
