Apartment building damaged by fire...

May 12, 2018 - Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a multi-family structure fire at the Arundel Apartments off of Limestone Road.   As firefighters arrived they found heavy fire showing from the 3rd floor and roof area.   A second alarm was immediately sounded.

Approximately 100 firefighters battled the blaze for approximately two hours when the scene was placed under control.   The building had eleven apartments occupied.  The American Red Cross assisted two displaced families.  There were no firefighter injures.
 

Mill Creek Fire Company was assisted by Cranston Heights, Elsmere, Belvedere, Minquas, Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, Hockessin and Christiana Fire Companies, NCC paramedics, St Francis Hospital Rehab unit, the New Castle County field command post..   

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
